- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
The article El Kureimat Power Plant has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:14, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Hoda Abdel Nasser
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Hoda Abdel Nasser requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.hindustantimes.com/world/nasser-s-daughter-house-raided/story-wfZGYFF8uLf7F0dG50C8nM.html, https://www.egypttoday.com/Article/4/39859/Release-of-1st-Arabic-version-of-Gamal-Abdel-Nasser-biography, and https://www.jpost.com/Middle-East/Egypts-presidential-offspring-patch-up-cat-fight-150202. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- Asartea Talk | Contribs 07:01, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Snyk
[edit]Thanks for the work you do cleaning up pages that shouldn't be here. Saying this, I'm not sure what you nominated Snyk not just for deletion but speedy deletion. How exactly does it satisfy WP:G11? It's exclusively promotional?? Which part of it isn't written in a neutral tone? MaskedSinger (talk) 09:45, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- MaskedSinger It's purely based on funding and announcement, nor it seems notable. Behind the moors (talk) 16:07, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
- You don't think a billion dollar company is notable? MaskedSinger (talk) 15:39, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
- Wikipedia doesn't work like that. Check this afd [1] even, people are discussing that this billionaire is notable or not. Luckily, she is notable. Behind the moors (talk) 09:55, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

BLPPROD
[edit]Hi, I'm guessing that this was a mis-click in Twinkle? It isn't a biography, and there are references, so BLPPROD isn't applicable. I draftified it again because it has serious issues, which had been ignored by the editor who moved it into mainspace without a review. So I'm not debating the fact that you thought it was not good enough, just the actual tag you placed. --bonadea contributions talk 15:45, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Could you explain why the article Nikhil Prasad doesn’t meet the WP:GNG
[edit]Hi there, My recent article Nikhil Prasad was nominated by you as it's not meet's GNG. Did you check the additional notability for people? SEE WP:CREATIVE. As per this, he is falling under notability, also what's lacking for WP:GNG. Awaiting your response. Thank you. Happy editing. Onmyway22 talk 18:08, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- From nowhere it is passing WP:CREATIVE and it fails GNG due to in-depth, independent coverage related to him. It's mainly about company. Behind the moors (talk) 18:42, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- @Behind the moors: So do you think a person who meets additional criteria isn't notable? Also the company is the first ever digital platform in Kerala and established as the top digital company in the state. The company page and even the series' page is as notable as being on Wikipedia and it's here. So you it seems you didn't WP:BEFORE. I strongly recommend it to you before you nominate articles for discussion. There are additional criteria other than GNG. Happy editing Onmyway22 talk 02:10, 15 December 2021 (UTC)
- These are not Wikipedia criteria and stop debating with me here. Let everyone and admin decide this now. Behind the moors (talk) 08:11, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

Please help - AfD on Ricardo Santos Silva
[edit]Hi - the acquisition of Chelsea FC is the single most important transaction in the world at the moment. That is why I worked on it. Why is the article of Ricardo Santos Silva proposed for deletion? I was certainly not paid for it (I do not know this people) and the article looks fair. Sources are from very reliable media (BBC, SKY, etc). Please let me know how i can improve the article. Thanks and please let know
Help for Citations on Draft:Interoperable Master Format not adequately supported by reliable sources
[edit]Thank you for your speedy review of my draft article, I really appreciate it. Please could you give me some pointers as to whether the article generally needs more citations to provide adequate coverage, or generally needs citations from a difference source (i.e. not the due process international standards body that published the standard), or is there is something that I've missed like an uncited fact that I could just delete. Many thanks for making this article better.

- Mrmxf, Check the draft, half of the content is not supporting any source. Please add sources to the Intro section, Architecture section, History section.Behind the moors (talk) 16:32, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

You asked in an AFC comment whether DS Tucanae A and DS Tucanae A b were the same or different, and said that if they were different, then the draft should be accepted as being about a planet. They are different. DS Tucanae A is the star, one of two stars in a double star system, the one that the planet orbits. I marked the draft on the planet as under review and was planning to accept it, but the draft disappeared, with a message that it had been deleted by a G7 request. I don't know why the originator tagged the draft for deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:02, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
Tamdi Surla Falls -- perhaps for Wikivoyage
[edit]Your creation Draft:Tamdi Surla Falls seems well-intentioned but problematic. As a sample, I choose one section, which currently reads: Surla is about 45km east of the district of Ponda. And 27km from Panaji. The connectivity of public transport from either districts is weak. Therefore, it is best to arrange private transportation. Vehicles can reach up to the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple. However, rest of the way to the waterfall is on foot. It's not clear how much of the text that ends "Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple" is sourced to the Times of India article, but there's a clear implication that the fifth and last of the sentences is sourced there. However, I can't find it stated within the ToI article that vehicles can reach the Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple. Also: "Weak" by what standard, and according to whom? Who says that arranging public transportation is best?
For the entire draft, the cited sources are Wikipedia and various articles in the Times of India. However, Wikipedia is not a reliable source; and, despite its age and august title, The Times of India probably isn't one either.
Tamdi Surla Falls may be notable (by Wikipedia's criteria); I don't know -- I haven't started to look for sources. But in anything like its current form, the draft seems less suited to an encyclopedia than to a travel guide. You might consider proposing it not for Wikipedia but instead for Wikivoyage. -- Hoary (talk) 22:58, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- As per WP:GEO it is notable topic. Don't worry, your concern is valid. I will fix it, before moving it in mainspace. I generally, create rough draft before, and then curate it. Behind the moors (talk) 05:26, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
